Realizing that our customers have to make a substantial development effort to integrate our databases into their applications, International DataBases conceived and implemented the TeleBase-Single Site™ Coster, a set or pricing subroutines that accepts call record data, manipulates the TeleBase-Single Site™ database and returns the cost of the call. The combined database and pricing software can easily be interfaced to any application. In addition to removing the initial need to develop rating software around our database format, this approach has the added benefit of protecting your firm from development expense in regards to future changes.
In 1995, the "interchangeable area code" numbering plan restructuring caused tremendous upheaval in our industry - except to customers of our products. Our customers gained the ability to rate calls to these new area codes with zero investment in software design and development. In the near future the number pooling initiatives underway may signify that the carrier providing service, and the rating thereof, can depend on the last four digits of the phone number. Customers of our database and software bundle will achieve this transparently.
